Understanding the Heart Economy

Lifesteal servers tie power to hearts — killing players steals hearts, dying loses them. More hearts = more survivability in PvP. Losing all extra hearts can mean ban or severe penalty depending on the server.

Play passive until full diamond prot. Iron-geared players are free heart donations for veterans.

First Week Walkthrough

The first week determines whether you become a hunter or a repeat victim.

1. 1

   Rush iron, then diamond

   Day 1–2: iron gear and food. Day 3–5: diamond armor with Protection IV priority. Mine at Y -59, bring ender chest for ore.

   Build a hidden base

   Go 5,000+ blocks from spawn. No obvious nether portals at surface. Use buried entrances and fake decoy bases.

   Set villagers before PvPing

   Trading halls for enchanted books and gear beat manual enchanting. Protect villagers behind obsidian and light everything.

   Never log out in the open

   Combat log rules vary — assume you will die if caught outside your base. Always disconnect in a sealed room.

Hidden Base Design

Best bases use multiple layers: decoy surface hut, hidden tunnel entrance 20+ blocks away, and separate storage stashes.

Spread valuables across ender chest, buried shulkers, and backup stashes. One raid should not wipe you completely. Use trapdoors, honey blocks, and maze corridors to slow raiders.

When to Fight

Only engage when you have prot IV, sharpness V, golden apples, and an escape plan (pearl, trapdoor clutch, or ally backup).

Avoid spawn and popular SMP YouTuber coords — they are camped constantly. Hunt undergeared players only if you accept retaliation. Team fights favor organized groups with voice comms.

Recovering Lost Hearts

Most Lifesteal servers sell hearts, run events, or allow crafting at extreme cost. Check server-specific rules before assuming.

If banned at zero hearts, appeal or restart on an alt only if rules allow. Focus on not losing hearts in the first place — defensive play beats aggressive feeding.
