Why Practice on Minemen Club
Minemen Club (minemen.club) is a dedicated practice server for competitive PvP — Crystal, Bedwars, UHC, and modern combat duels. Low latency and ranked queues make it the go-to for improving outside Hypixel.
Connect and use the compass or NPC menu to select Crystal PvP duels.
Crystal PvP Fundamentals
Crystal PvP uses end crystals as primary damage. You place obsidian, anchor a crystal, and detonate it near opponents.
Key binds and hotbar setup
Typical layout: obsidian, crystals, sword, pearls, gaps/golden apples, totems, pickaxe. Practice switching slots without looking — muscle memory wins fights.
Place obsidian, then crystal
Right-click obsidian on the ground, then place a crystal on top. You must be close enough to detonate before your opponent breaks the crystal.
Detonate with sword or crystal
Left-click the crystal to explode it. Time the hit when your opponent is within blast radius. Shield blocking reduces crystal damage.
Heal between exchanges
Eat golden apples or use totems between crystal trades. Never stay at half a heart — one counter-crystal ends the duel.
Anchor Techniques
Anchoring is placing obsidian and a crystal simultaneously under pressure.
Jump-place obsidian
Jump and place obsidian beneath you while falling on an opponent. Immediately place a crystal on the obsidian block.
Double-tap timing
The fastest kills come from obsidian → crystal → detonate in under one second. Practice in unranked duels until the sequence is automatic.
Pearl escape
If your anchor fails, pearl away and reset. Do not chase low-health opponents into their own anchor setup.
Defense and Counter-Play
Breaking enemy crystals before they detonate is the primary defense. Aim sword hits at the crystal entity, not the player.
Use terrain — tight spaces limit crystal placement options. Fight near walls to block pearl escapes. Totem swapping (offhand totem when low) is standard at higher ELO.
Ranked ELO Tips
Minemen Club ranked duels use ELO matchmaking. Warm up in unranked for 10–15 minutes before ranked sessions.
Review losses — most deaths come from slow anchor speed or eating gaps too late. Record duels and compare timing to high-ELO players on YouTube. Consistency beats flashy plays.
