BlocksMC

Beginner Guide

Last updated: August 26, 2026

Master Bedwars and Skywars on BlocksMC — rushing, defending, team upgrades, and tournament-ready PvP.

Joining BlocksMC

Connect to blocksmc.com in Minecraft Java. The lobby offers Bedwars, Skywars, and other PvP modes via NPCs or compass menu.

BlocksMC is popular in the Middle East and Europe with regular tournaments. Check the MOTD for supported versions. Create an account on the website for stats and cosmetics.

Bedwars Basics

Protect your bed while destroying enemy beds — no bed means no respawn. Collect iron and gold from generators and buy gear from the shop.

Communicate rush and defend roles with teammates. In solos, balance aggression with generator upgrades. Learn each map's rush distances.

Rushing Strategies

Speed bridge diagonally to the nearest island early. Bring TNT or a pickaxe for fast bed breaks. Double-rush with a teammate when possible.

If a rush fails, fall back and gear up. Do not chase into multiple enemies without backup. Fireball jumps can save failed rushes.

Defending Your Bed

Layer wool, endstone, and obsidian. Add alarm and blindness traps from the shop. Keep sword and blocks in your hotbar while defending.

One player should stay near bed while others rush or control mid. Obsidian requires a diamond pickaxe — prioritize getting one for defenders.

Team Upgrades

Spend emeralds and diamonds at the team upgrade shop. Priority: Sharpened Swords, Reinforced Armor, Iron Forge.

Maniac Miner and Heal Pool are strong mid-game picks. Do not hoard — early upgrades compound. Coordinate purchases to avoid duplicate traps.

Skywars on BlocksMC

Skywars is a strong secondary mode for PvP practice. Loot your island, rush mid for better gear, and control the center.

Learn kit abilities if enabled. BlocksMC Skywars maps vary — practice bridging under pressure. Use Skywars to warm up before ranked Bedwars.

PvP Mechanics

BlocksMC uses 1.8-style PvP in many modes. Practice W-tapping, block hitting, and rod techniques. Speed bridging is essential for Bedwars.

Sprint-reset hits and strafing win close fights. Pearl throws and fireball knockback decide mid-game team fights.

Fireball and Knockback Meta

BlocksMC Bedwars relies heavily on fireball knockback for bridging and combat. Fireball yourself across gaps to save wool, fireball enemies off bridges during mid fights, and keep fireballs stocked for final-kill phase.

Practice fireball jumps in solo lobbies before ranked games. One well-placed fireball beats three sword hits in void fights.

Tournament Preparation

BlocksMC runs regular Bedwars tournaments — check Discord for brackets, map pools, and registration dates.

Scrim with a fixed team on announced maps. Record VODs and review failed rushes. Tournament games punish inconsistent bridging more than casual queues. See our Bedwars Rush walkthrough for detailed rush routes and team coordination.

Regional Queues and Ping

BlocksMC peaks during MENA and European evening hours. Queue during peak for competitive matchmaking and tournament practice lobbies.

If you are outside the region, expect higher ping — adjust rush timing and rely more on fireball plays than frame-perfect bridging.

Pro Tips for BlocksMC

Play during peak hours for the best matchmaking and tournament queues. Join the Discord for map rotations and event announcements.

Watch BlocksMC YouTubers for map-specific rush routes. Practice in casual queues before ranked — ELO climbing requires consistency.
