Build nations, claim territory, and wage wars on EarthMC's 1:1000 scale Earth map at earthmc.net.
Joining EarthMC
Connect to earthmc.net in Minecraft Java. EarthMC features a 1:1000 scale replica of Earth as its map โ real countries correspond to in-game nations and territories.
New players spawn in a random nation or can choose one. Read the EarthMC wiki and Discord before claiming land โ geopolitical rules and nation politics are complex.
Gold Economy
Gold ingots are EarthMC's primary currency. Mine gold ore, trade with players, or work jobs to earn gold. Everything costs gold: claiming town plots, nation upkeep, and teleportation.
Check /balance and /nation list for economic context. Inflation varies by nation โ some nations have strong economies with active shops, others are poor and rely on mining.
Creating and Managing Towns
Create a town with /town new <name> (costs gold). Invite residents with /town add. Each resident expands your claimable plots. Towns pay daily upkeep โ if you can't afford it, your town falls.
Build your town in a strategic location: near resources, on trade routes, or in defensible terrain. Town spawn sets your home teleport โ choose wisely.
Nations and Alliances
Nations group multiple towns under one banner with shared chat, allies, and enemies. Create a nation with /nation new or join an existing one by asking the leader.
Major nations (historically Britain, Spawn, various European powers) control vast territory. New players should join an established nation for protection rather than starting alone.
Claiming Land
Use /town claim to claim chunks for your town. Each claim costs gold and has limits based on resident count. Claims protect blocks from non-members.
Don't overclaim โ upkeep scales with size. Focus on claiming your town's immediate build area first, then expand as your resident count grows.
Wars and PvP
Nations declare war on each other for territory and prestige. War mechanics include siege weapons, PvP in enemy territory, and town captures. Wars are organized events with real geopolitical consequences.
During wars, gear up with enchanted armor and potions. Follow your nation leader's battle plans. EarthMC wars can involve 50+ players and last days.
Navigating the Earth Map
The 1:1000 scale means 1 block = 1000 real meters. Europe is crowded with established nations; Antarctica and remote islands offer space for new towns.
Use /map and EarthMC's online map (map.earthmc.net) to plan your location. Popular real-world cities are usually already claimed โ look for underserved regions.
EarthMC Tips
Join the EarthMC Discord and subreddit for diplomacy, recruitment, and war announcements. Be active โ inactive towns get kicked from nations and may fall.
Don't trust strangers offering free gold or town invites โ scams exist. Learn the difference between friendly nations and hostile ones before traveling.
