Live the GTA life in Minecraft — jobs, cars, guns, police chases, heists, and criminal empires on GTM.
Joining GTM
Connect to gtm.network in Minecraft Java (Premium account required). Accept the resource pack for cars, guns, and custom models.
Grand Theft Minecart (GTM) recreates GTA gameplay in Minecraft. Spawn in the city hub and follow the tutorial for controls, jobs, and basic laws.
Jobs and Making Money
Legal jobs (delivery, mining, fishing) fund your early criminal or civilian life. Illegal jobs pay more but attract police attention.
Save for your first vehicle and apartment. Money management matters — fines and hospital bills drain unprepared players.
Vehicles and Driving
Cars are essential for navigating the map and escaping police. Purchase from dealerships and customize at garages.
Learn driving controls — crashes damage vehicles and cost repair fees. Keep a cheap backup car for risky jobs.
Police and Criminal Life
Police players enforce laws, issue fines, and arrest criminals. Criminals run heists, drug routes, and robberies for higher payouts.
Heat levels increase with crimes — escape before capture or serve jail time. Balance risk vs reward on illegal activities.
Combat and Guns
GTM features custom guns with licenses and restrictions. Obtain gun licenses legally or acquire weapons through criminal channels.
PvP rules vary by zone — safe zones prohibit shooting. Carry medical supplies and know hospital locations.
Heists and Robberies
Heists require planning, gear, and often a crew. Start with smaller robberies before major bank heists.
Coordinate roles — driver, gunman, hacker. Police response scales with crime severity. Escape routes matter more than firepower.
Properties and Businesses
Buy apartments and businesses for passive income and storage. Businesses generate money while you play other roles.
Invest in legal enterprises for steady income to fund criminal operations. Property taxes apply — budget accordingly.
Legal Jobs Overview
Trucker, miner, fisherman, and delivery jobs provide safe income without police risk. Rotate jobs to avoid burnout — each has different pay rates and time investment.
Legal income funds your first car, pistol, and heist equipment. Do not skip to robberies without a getaway vehicle.
Criminal Crews
Form or join a crew for bank heists and territory control. Crews share loot, provide backup during police chases, and run larger operations.
Establish Discord communication and loot split rules before your first heist. See our Heist Walkthrough for store robberies and bank job strategy.
Playing as Police
Law enforcement is a valid career path — arrest criminals, respond to robbery alerts, and earn bounties. Police players need good driving skills and PvP ability.
Police gear is purchased with salary income. Coordinate with other officers via radio commands or Discord.
Pro Tips for GTM
Join the GTM Discord for heist LFG and rule updates. Learn the map layout — shortcuts save lives during chases.
Start as a civilian to learn mechanics before going criminal. Respect roleplay scenarios — GTM is a community-driven experience.
