Grand Theft Minecart Basics

Grand Theft Minecart (gtm.network) is a GTA-style roleplay server in Minecraft — cars, guns, jobs, police chases, and heists. Choose a criminal or law enforcement path and earn money through legal or illegal activities.

Connect in Minecraft Java and follow the tutorial NPC. Read /rules before engaging in PvP or theft — some zones are protected.

Starter Money Walkthrough

Your first 10K funds guns, cars, and heist prep.

  1. Complete the tutorial

The tutorial introduces driving, shooting, and job mechanics. Finish it for starter cash and a basic weapon.

  2. Take legal jobs first

Trucker, miner, and delivery jobs provide safe starter income. Grind legal jobs until you can afford a pistol and basic car.

  3. Buy a cheap car

Cars are essential for heist getaways and police chases. Buy the cheapest model first — upgrade after your first successful heist.

  4. Save for a pistol

You need a firearm before attempting robberies. Pistols are minimum for store hold-ups.

Store Robberies

Store robberies are the entry-level heist.

  1. Scout the store

Check for nearby police players. Rob during low-population hours when fewer cops are online.

  2. Hold up the clerk

Aim at the store NPC or clerk and follow the robbery prompt. Fill your inventory with stolen goods quickly.

  3. Escape immediately

Get in your car and drive to a hideout or safe zone. Police get alerts — speed matters more than loot quantity early on.

  4. Sell stolen goods

Fence stolen items at black market NPCs or player buyers. Reinvest into better guns and faster cars.

Bank Heists

Bank heists require teams, better gear, and planning.

  1. Assemble a crew

Banks need 2–4 players minimum — driver, gunman, hacker (if required), and lookout. Solo bank robberies fail.

  2. Gear up

Automatic weapons, body armor, and getaway cars with high speed. Budget 50K+ in equipment before attempting.

  3. Execute the heist

Follow the bank robbery sequence — some banks require hacking minigames or keycard access. Practice in tutorials if available.

  4. Split loot and escape route

Agree on loot split before the heist. Plan two escape routes — police will roadblock the obvious path.

Evading Police

Police players chase criminals and arrest them on capture.

  1. Know safe zones

Some areas are police-free or have arrest immunity. Memorize safe zone locations for emergency escapes.

  2. Driving escape tactics

Take alleys, off-road shortcuts, and switch cars mid-chase. Destroyed cars mean foot escape — have backup hideouts nearby.

  3. Bail and legal defense

If arrested, pay bail or hire a lawyer player (if the server supports it). Jail time wastes heist income.

Building a Criminal Empire

Late-game GTM is about property, businesses, and crew operations. Buy properties for storage and safe spawning. Run legitimate businesses as money fronts. Recruit crew members for larger heists.

The richest GTM players diversify — legal businesses fund illegal operations, and vice versa.
